Template:Ref

Descripton

{{ref}} is an easy way to add book and chapter (or page) citations to articles. It can be used for more complex strings, and works in both Visual Editor and Source Editor. For a simpler version that works best in Source Editor, see {{cite}}.

Visual Editor

  • On the Toolbar, select "Cite" > "New Reference". (Or use keyboard Ctrl + Shift + K)
  • In the window, type {{ to open the template.
  • Enter the variables. Click "Insert".
  • To refer to the reference again later in the page, select on the toolbar: "Cite" > "Re-use reference".
  • At the bottom of the page, below all content but above the navbox, add a Reference List by selecting "Insert" > "References list".

Syntax

{{ref|1|2}}
1

2
