The Emberus shrine bubbled louder, reminding me that I owed both blood and money. That’s how it always is, isn’t it? I thought. The silence in my mind roared, louder than it had ever been. The sink is running.[1]
The Sun Shrine appears in a crawler's Personal Space if they choose to worship Emberus. The shrine is a bubbling fountain consisting of a sun disk, a cup, and a skull; the blessed water runs red, and can be used in crafting.[2][3][4]
Adherents of Emberus must offer a single drop of blood at the Sun Shrine or a temple of Emberus once every 30-hour day, and must donate 5% of all looted or received gold to the Sun Shrine.[2] When a crawler earns gold, the Sun Shrine chimes and displays the amount due.[3] If a crawler takes a loan from the church, they may make payments at the Sun Shrine.[5]
Crafting
Emberus is a light-based god, as well as a god of fire, sun, and ash. The blood water from his shrine can be used in the crafting of items such as Holy Gooper Potion.[4]
