Description
As Carl discovers, they erupt from boils that form all over the body with each successive boil getting larger (i.e., to correspond with sluggalo level and size). While there doesn't seem to be a potion to resolve this pox (at least none is discussed), healers like Imani or certain clerics in Club Vanquisher can cure the ailment. Certain equipment can also suppress the effects indefinitely. As they get larger and their level increases, sluggalos will burst forth with certain items like axes or baseball bats sometimes growing out of them.
While Slug Pox initially infects a crawler (Carl), it can also be cast on NPCs who will then start generating their own sluggalos. While they initially seem mindless, they act more like pets in that they can be trained, form connections to and listen to commands from specific crawlers, and can communicate their wants. Their wants seem to mostly revolve around being pointed in the direction of someone to give the chop-chop to.
