Powerful Strike is a monk-class skill that amplifies damage in unarmed combat. According to Mordecai, "each level multiplies your damage when you’re not wielding a weapon. So at level three, each kick or punch does three times the damage it normally would."[2]
Story
Book 1
Carl gains this skill with 3 levels when he equips the Enchanted Toe Ring of the Splatter Skunk shortly after entering the first floor, and receives an additional +1 bonus from the Enchanted War Gauntlet of the Exalted Grull.[2][3]
Book 3
Carl gets a Scroll of Upgrade from the Casino that applies to his Enchanted Toe Ring of the Splatter Skunk, upgrading his Powerful Strike Skill by 5 levels. [4]. This upgraded level demolishes the Babababoons at station 283 on the Iron Tangle. [5]
Carl trains his powerful strike at station 41 safe room but it does not advance. [6]
