Magic Missile is basic ranged attack spell that shoots hot laser bolts from the caster's eyes, one bolt after another. They look like laser blasts from a sci-fi movie, and can "be a little loud."[2][3]
The attack's power and operation change as it levels up. It can be modified by items such as the Prism Industries Capacitating and Focusing Goggles.

Story
Book 1
Donut receives a Tome of Magic Missile in a Silver Adventurer Box after entering the First Floor.[6]
- She shoots a Bad Llama with a Magic Missile and inflicts the Sepsis Debuff. [2]
- She uses Magic Missile again when they are fighting the Scatterers around Tally's Safe Room. A hit from a magic missile will Stun the Scatterer so Carl can finish it off. [7]
- During the Boss fight against the Hoarder, Donut shoots her with a Magic Missile but it doesn't have any effect. [8]
She later receives a Gold Magic Item Box for being one of the first crawlers to level Magic Missile up to three.[9] She levels up the skill to level 8 by the end of the Second Floor. [10]
Book 2
- Donut shoots magic missile at Terror the Clown. [11]
- At the start of the floor, her Magic Missile spell is at Level 9. [3]
- Donut kills the last Shambling Berseker. [12]
Book 3
- Donut casts Magic Missile at a group of Drek on the Red line at the start of the Fourth Floor [13] and a Cave Mudge Bonker on the yellow line. [14]
- Donut casts magic missile at Gore-Gore but it doesn't work on him. [15]
- Donut receives the Prism Industries Capacitating and Focusing Goggles which allow her more control over her magic missiles, allowing her to split the missiles. She tries this on the Babababoons at Station 283 but the power goes down significantly when the missiles are split. [16]
- She shoots a Festering Ghoul off the Nightmare Express at Trainyard E, but the shot only knocks it Unconscious. The ghoul later jumps up and rips the head off Widget. [17]
- Donut shoots a magic missile at Hekla during the Vermillion Line Rescue after Carl pulls a Dirty Little Phased Bolt out of Katis. [18]
- Donut shoots magic missiles at the Stage 3 DTs Razor Fox at station 75. [19]
