Krakaren Clone (Fourth Floor)

“So they took a whole floor’s worth of mobs and strung them out?” Katia asked. “That seems… overly complicated.”^[1]

The Krakaren on the Fourth Floor is a Borough Boss, and part of the Iron Tangle political statement.

Description

The Iron Tangle is a massive political statement by the Borant Corporation, and the fact that there is a version of Krakaren in the level is directed towards the actions of the Apothecary.

In the level the Krakaren Borough Boss creates powerful, addictive, race-specific sedatives for mobs to get them hooked on drugs. At the start of the level, the mobs travel down 5 stops to an exit-only cavern, get their fix, then portal back to where they get on the train. The monsters are only allowed on vial at a time and the high only lasts to get them up the station. If the mobs don't get their fix in time, they start to mutate. ^[1]

Doris in substation B of Train yard E is in charge of keeping the Krakaren happy, which means she's also in charge of excess citizen disposal. ^[2]

Story

Book 3

Imani and Elle McGibbons run into a Krakaren on the Fourth Floor as a Borough Boss but they leave her alone. ^[3] They describe to Carl how the monsters are behaving with the drugs supplied by the Krakaren Clone (Fourth Floor). ^[1]
