Igneous

Igneous is a race option that crawlers can select on the Third Floor. It is similar to the Cretin race, but not exactly the same. [1]

Description

An Igneous is a towering humanoid race made of lava and rock. Their eyes resemble "burning lumps of coal," and they radiate extreme heat and can fire lava from their bodies, as though their centers are molten lava. When they move, it sounds like rocks scraping together.[2]

Speculation

Carl considers a race called a Coal Engine on the Third Floor. This race is described as a “monstrous rock creatures with molten centers.” This may indicate that it is related to the Igneous race. [3]
