Graupel is an expensive war spell that generates a powerful ice storm.[1] It should only be cast outdoors.[2]
Description
Graupel costs (50) Mana Points to cast, but casts instantaneously.[1][2] The crawler's hands glow with bluish-white light while casting, and the glow spreads around the caster. It has a full one week cooldown period.[2]
Once cast, a storm rolls through the area and fist-sized chunks of hail pelt down from the sky. At level 16, the storm is deafening, obscures the sky with smoke and steam and hail, and ice coats the battlefield.[2]
Story
Elle McGibbons receives a Tome of Graupel in a Loot Box after helping Carl fight against Grull (piloted by the Maestro) on the Fourth Floor.[1] She uses the spell for the first time to crash the air castle in her Fifth Floor Bubble.[2]
Trivia
- "Graupel," also called "soft hail" or "snow pellets," are created when supercooled water molecules in the air freeze on falling snow. They are typically conical-shaped, fragile crystals, and may form during thunderstorms or winter storms.[3]
