Story

Book 5

Edgar turns out to be the tattooist who uses the blood of Signet's fallen comrades to turn them into blood and ink elementals in the form of tattoos on her body (this first occurs after Miss Nadine and Clint die).[3]

Leading up to The Butcher's Masquerade, Edgar is fundamental to Carl's plan as he is able to map out the entire castle from afar. This leads to Louis figuring out the small connecting tunnels are actually for Ferdinand to fast-travel between rooms and levels.

Book 7

SPOILERS FOR BOOK 7

Edgar's mapping abilities are once again invaluable in determining enemy troop movement in the leadup to the beginning of the Faction Wars.

He is then also used later to confirm Rosetta's theory on how the Naga can hide and reappear after the game is complete. With his level-15 Sense Movement skill, he can see upward momentum from the ground, which is a sign that someone nearby has just worshiped a god for the first time.[2]

He also tattoos a dog on Donut's ass in order to give her the spell Binjabi for when she casts War Crime.[4]
