Blitz Sticks

“And stay away from blitz sticks. They’re hallucinogens, and they’re highly addictive. Magically addictive. You don’t want that.”
--Mordecai (Book 2, Chapter 15)

Blitz Sticks are a common but highly addictive magical hallucinogen.

AI Description

Blitz Stick.

It’s like candy, but for your mind. If you eat this, your Intelligence temporarily rises by five points. If you smoke it, there’s a 15% chance your Intelligence will permanently rise by 1.

There might be a side effect or two. Or three.[1]

Description

Blitz sticks look a bit like licorice sticks and, when lit, have a distinct tangy smell like patchouli.[2][3] While smoking a blitz stick, saying "show me..." can produce a vivid non-existent memory or create a false escapist dream. The hallucinations are shorter each time the drug is used.[4]

They are one of the few substances that cannot be counteracted with a Rapid Detox Potion.[5] The addictive properties of blitz sticks can be treated with an unidentified skin patch, which must be worn for a while.[6]
