Bathrooms are a functional aspect of the Dungeon that allow for the disposal of biological waste in a sanitary fashion. They are spread liberally throughout the dungeon and are the only place viewers cannot see a crawler. [1]
Description
Drakea mentions how there is a Syndicate rule that the showrunners can't watch crawlers in bathroom stalls. This exception does not apply for the rest of the bathroom. [2]
Toilet paper is complementary in bathrooms, though after the first episode of Dungeon Crawler World: Earth the toilet paper is limited to one roll per floor. [3]
Personal Space has a common room restroom and personal restrooms attached to personal spaces at level 5 [4]
Story
Book 1
On the first floor the bathrooms show up about every quarter mile in the dungeon. The doors to the bathrooms are from various bathroom doors from before the Transformation. The bathrooms have just a silver toilet and a roll of toilet paper, without a sink or a mirror. [5]
On the first episode of Dungeon Crawler World: Earth, Cascadia announces that the bathroom bug where if you open a door and someone else enters they will no longer explode. Additionally the toilet paper is limited to one roll per floor. [3]
On the second episode, the "exploding issue" and the "suction issue" has been resolved. Crawlers are reminded to stop using the hallways as bathrooms. [6]
On the first episode on the Second Floor, the rules change to where “if any human-born crawler intentionally urinates or defecates anywhere outside a designated bathroom area, they will be immediately and swiftly penalized in the form of a Rage Elemental plucked from the 13th floor. This elemental will kill them and everyone in their party before they can get their pants back up.” [7]
Jack pees on the wall on the Second Floor, summoning the Rage Elemental that Carl and Donut fight. [8]. The second recap episode of the floor covers “some bullshit explanation why they had been forced to implement the rage elemental trap.” At the end of the episode, the announcement says the bathroom rule will be revoked at the end of the floor. [9]
The rules only apply to crawlers, as Mongo pees on the floor over 100 times when they first get him. [10]
Book 2
Bathrooms and Safe Rooms are scattered throughout both the villages and ruins. [11]
Book 3
Drakea adds a note in the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook (Item) that bathrooms are a good location to read the book as the Syndicate can't see in the bathroom stall. [2]
Book 5 how they use the restroom
