The Valtay Corporation is the Gondii's corporate system government, and one of the most powerful and technologically advanced forces in the galaxy. When they host Dungeon Crawler World, they choose a sci-fi themed 18-Level Dungeon with "android death machines and pulse rifles."[1]
The Valtay Corporation are Carl's first sponsor. [2]
Description
As a corporation, they are known for their technology but their "entertainment assets" (celebrities such as Manasa who contracted with the Valtay to continue their careers after death) bring in the most revenue.[3]
The next crawl is going to be hosted by them. [4]
Story
Book 1
Carl first comes across the name of the Valtay when looking at the list of items in Agatha's shopping cart after gaining a potion of Determine Value Skill for killing Ralph on the Second Floor. [5] The Valtay Corporation parked an entire fleet outside the Borant System and were preparing to collect on the system's debt when the Borant Corporation chose to start Dungeon Crawler World: Earth early.[1]
Book 2
The topic of the Valtay corporation attempting to collect their debt comes up while Carl and Donut (and Hekla) are on the show Danger Zone with Ripper Wonton. All three of them are too smart to comment, wanting to avoid agitating either side, despite Tucker attempting to engage them in the topic. [3]
When Prince Stalwart of the Skull Empire mistakenly kills Manasa while attempting to assassinate Carl, the Valtay end their long-standing alliance with the Skull Empire and orders one of their dreadnoughts to fire on the prince's yacht, allegedly killing both Queen Consort Ugloo and the Maestro.This hurts their position in the bankruptcy filings against the Borant Corporation. [3] Carl suspects that Borant Corporation deliberately switched his and Manasa's Production Trailers in the hopes that this would happen.[6]
They were a major beneficiary of Borant Corporation's bankruptcy, gaining a 51% stake in the company and taking over Dungeon Crawler World.
Book 3
The Valtay Corporation is Carl's first sponsor. [2] Since the Borant Corporation and the Valtay Corporation hate each other, Carl isn't sure if the sponsorship means he's going to get really good stuff or if Borant is going to try to kill him faster. [7]
