“I always knew I would die in the dungeon. Even after I got out, I always knew. It’s always there, pulling at me.[1]
Tipid is a former crawler and author of the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook (4th Edition).
Description
Tipid is a Crest.
Story
Dungeon History
Thousands of years ago, he and his best friend Horatio were partners in the Dungeon. His final entries in the cookbook describe how he was forced to use the Mysterious Bone Key Benefit to descend a stairwell, leaving Horatio behind.[1][2]
Post Dungeon
Tipid took an indentured servitude deal at the beginning of the twelfth floor where he worked as a Game Guide and Guildhall Instructor in the Poisoner Guild. He survived, but was forced to spend his entire pension and take an additional loan to repair the extensive damage to his brain.[3]
He is now a member of the outlawed Open Intellect Pacifist Action Network doing business as Long Haul Biological Waste Management Solutions, and piloting the Homecoming Queen into Earth's orbit to join the Ninth Floor Faction Wars.[1]
Book 6
Tipid watches the end of the Eighth Floor onboard the Homecoming Queen with Rosetta Thagra in outer Earth orbit. Tipid expresses relief that Carl didn't have to use the Mysterious Bone Key Benefit, which would have only let one crawler continue to the next floor. Rosetta asks if he thinks they would pull the Failsafe, to which he replies that they don't have the stomach for it. The System AI clears them or onboarding, along with 50,000 former Crawlers to participate in Faction Wars (game). [1]

Cookbook Entries
<Note added by Crawler Tipid, 4th Edition>
I killed my best friend today. I wish I had never made it this far.[5]
<Note added by Crawler Tipid, 4th Edition>
It was me or him, and I chose to save myself. I didn't think. I reacted. I reacted to save myself. Anybody else would do the same. I keep telling myself that again and again. Does that make me evil? No, I don't think it does, not when I think of it logically. Then why do I feel this way?[6]
