“Today is a new day. We don’t worry about yesterday because we can’t change the past.”[1]
Sister Ines Quiteria is a former nun and a crawler from Earth.
Description
Sister Ines entered the Dungeon from a Cuban prison courtyard, accompanied by Paz Lo, Anton, and others. On either the first or second floors, Anton was forced to kill two members of their group after they attacked Sister Ines.[2]
On the Third Floor, she chose the Cat Girl race because it was the only option that gave a charisma boost for her Word Weaver spell, and her Game Guide promised it would unlock the bard/healer Poet Laureate Class. She was not aware that she had become a specific breed of cat but, after meeting Donut, speculates that the Dungeon chose her breed because she is Cuban.[2]
Although she plays the game, Sister Ines is extremely religious and furious with the Dungeon's Gods and blasphemy of Earth cultures and traditions.
Appearance
As a Cat Girl, Sister Ines appears to be a bipedal shorthaired cat with dark coffee-colored fur, rounded ears above a long and thin face, whiskers, and glowing green eyes -- all marks of the endangered Havana Brown cat breed.[2][3] Her humanoid body has "the curve of human-like breasts under her fur", and her hands and feet are instead paws with opposable thumbs. She wears only a flowing cloak and arm bracers, and initially carries a trident over her shoulder.[2]

History
A Discalced Carmelite, Sister Ines is a member of the Catholic order officially titled the Order of the Discalced Brothers of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel, which was co-founded by the Spanish mystic and first female Doctor of the Church, Teresa of Ávila, in the 16th century.[4][2] As a nun, Ines would have worn a brown scapular and spent most of her days praying in a cloistered monastery.[5]
There were several cats at the prison.[2]
She was sent to prison for killing all the sisters in her convent, known by the nickname "Reaper of Havana".
Story
Sister Ines's group went on a program at the beginning of the Sixth Floor where they were shown a clip of Donut telling Anaconda and the Sledge that if she ever met a Cat Girl, she would rip out the girl's throat and feed her to Brindle Grubs. The group proceeded to have a difficult time in the Hunting Grounds, and by the time they arrived on the Eighth Floor, they had been whittled down to three: Sister Ines, Anton, and Paz Lo.[2]
They meet Carl and Donut in Cuba during the first phase of the Eighth Floor and are instantly wary of Donut, but Sister Ines helps to defuse the situation and shrugs off Donut's many complaints about her apparent breed, explaining, "I did not choose what I looked like."[2]
She was killed by Louis after being put to sleep by Carl's Wand of Nighty Night.
