Description
This patch is a thick, black piece of fabric embroidered with a white pile of skulls from various creatures, stacked up neatly into a pyramid.[1] There is additional transparent stitching forming the image of a giant centipede crawling through all the skulls.[2] The centipede stitching glows and becomes visible when Carl's soul essence bar is filled. The threading appears to glow with the same color as the soul bar, whose color is dependent on the type of soul with which it is filled.[3]

Soul Reaper
This skill adds the soul essence bar and the ability to charge it with the essence of killed mobs. The total amount of soul essence that may be stored increases each time it is filled and then drained.[1]
Failing to drain the soul essence bar in time will result in some as-of-yet unknown negative effects.
AI Description
Yeah, baby.
Now we’re talking.
For every creature you kill with a melee attack, the Scavenger’s Daughter patch is charged with the essence of the fallen. Once fully charged, you may transfer this energy to a single melee attack, which will completely drain all the essence. This attack will have varying effects depending on the nature of the essence stored.
The associated essence bar is now visible in your interface. The total amount of soul essence you may store increases each time your essence bar is topped off and then drained. In other words, the more stuff you kill, the stronger you get.
Warning: you know how asbestos is really bad for you? Like, it doesn’t hurt you immediately, but it builds up in your lungs and eventually screws you over? Actually, you know what? Just ignore this warning. Forget I said anything. Carrying corrupted essence around on your back builds character. You already have a ring that’s doing much worse to you anyway.[1]
The Daughter's Kiss
When the soul essence bar is filled, the patch affords The Daughter’s Kiss skill. Once activated, the bar drains and makes the user's next melee attack extra powerful. Each time the bar is filled and drained, it grows, meaning it'll need more souls to fill it and also that each attack is more powerful than the last.[3]
This attack will have varying effects depending on the nature of the essence stored.[1]
If the captured souls are all of the same species, the attack will be almost twice as powerful and the residual effects of the attack will be stronger.[4]
Temporary Divine Effects
You are in the presence of a deity. The Scavenger’s Daughter has opened her eyes. She fills with power.
| Deity | Temporary Effect |
|---|---|
| Ogun | All-Smash Related Attacks +300%.[5] |
| Yemaya | All healing skills and spells cost no mana. They have no cooldown.[6] |
| Eileithyia | All damage you strike against female opponents is quartered. All female members of your party strike with a melee power of 500%. Girl power, bitches![6] |
| Amayon | All your fire spells utilize Sheol fire instead of regular fire.[7] |
| Ysalte | All potions you quaff or physically handle outside your inventory will turn to vinegar. They will return to a more powerful version of themselves upon her banishment.[8] |
