Scatterer


Scatterers are chittering, cockroach-like mobs found on the Dungeon's First Floor (specifically, in the Hoarder neighborhood).[1]

Subtypes

Scatter (Basic Level 1-2)

Approximately the size and shape of a loaf of bread, basic scatterers are easily killed. They occasionally drop a "Scatterer Carapace," which is tagged as a crafting item.[1]

Like its smaller brethren, the Scatterer Brood Guardian is a giant bug who wants nothing more than to fuck you up. Unlike his little brother, these guys are dangerous.[2]

Description

Brood Guardians are approximately cat-sized, and quickly charge at their targets. Stomping on their head almost always results in a critical hit, and they leak white goo when killed. They occasionally drop vials of Scatterer Hemolymph, which is tagged as a alchemy material.[3]

Story

Book 1

Carl and Donut fight some Scatterers and rats on the First Floor as they search for their first Safe Room. [1] After a quick rest at Tally's saferoom, they venture out to grind on Scatterer's for a bit. Carl tries to fight with the Toad Cudgel (despite the fact that it does less damage), but it just bounces off the creature. They learn that a hit from a Magic Missile Stuns the creature enough fro Carl to finish it off. [3]
