Rory

“Oh, honey, can we discuss what’s going on here? Is it like some sort of performance art? Do you wear all that metal because they made you eat your parents? ... I mean, I guess I can see what you were going for. You have exquisite cheekbones. But your face looks like an overenthusiastic brillo pad." -- Donut[1]

Rory is a Level 7 Goblin Shamanka NPC who appears on the First Floor. Her name was assigned by Donut.

Description

As a Shamanka, Rory specializes in Anguish Magic, which focuses and enhances attack damage. She and Lorelai are second only to the Goblin Chieftan, and are keenly aware that they are mobs inside a construct. When the floor collapses, they "go to sleep until the next Dungeon opens." They believe that if they kill enough crawlers, they will be moved to a lower level. Their goal is to descend far enough to "have peace and a place to live and breed and have our little ones run free and not worry about killing for survival."[2]

In the meantime, she enjoys meth.

Appearance

Rory is approximately 5' 3" (160 cm) tall and muscular, with "exquisite cheekbones," sharpened teeth, and a pierced forked tongue. Her face is covered in fifty-ish metal piercings, and jingles when she moves. She wears a jet-black robe and carries a wooden staff with a pineapple carved into the top.[3]

Story

With three days remaining until level collapse and no stairwells in sight, Carl and Donut take advantage of Carl's new Goblin Pass Tattoo to ask the Goblins for a vehicles. Rory is initially hostile to Carl, but Donut quickly charms the shamanka; soon, the shamanka is blubbering about daddy issues while Donut purrs in her lap.[3]

Rory explains that she cannot provide a Goblin Murder Dozer, but can manufacture a human-sized Goblin Copper Chopper and sidecar in exchange for two baggies of meth and directions on where to find more. Donut invites Rory to accompany the Royal Court of Princess Donut, but Rory declines.[3] Later, she gives Carl a bag brimming with Goblin Dynamite, small bombs, and grenades, before riding out to start a meth war against the Bad Llamas.[4]
