Randall

“Hey, are you kids doing okay?”[1]

Randall was a former patient of Meadow Lark Elder Care Facility.[2] Either two patients shared the name "Randall," or he is a continuity error.

Description

Randall was one of the elderly patients who Brandon Andrews, Chris Andrews, Imani, and Yolanda Martinez helped into the Dungeon and down to the Second Floor. He used a walker, and Elle McGibbons notes that he was "dumb as a pigeon."[2][3]

Story

Book 1

After Meadow Lark and the Royal Court of Princess Donut defeat the Ball of Swine on the First Floor, Randall click clicks his way into the boss chamber to check on them.[2]

On the Second Floor, Randall, Jack, and Elle share the last platform of the centipede-like train Brandon designed to cart the (39) remaining patients to the stairwell. Jack urinates on the dungeon wall, and Randall is thrown from the cart as the Rage Elemental materializes. Yolanda attempts to protect the fallen man, but the Rage Elemental shreds both her and Randall into a "red cloud of ribbon-like flesh."[3]

Book 6

SPOILERS FOR BOOK 6
Randall chose the Lutin race on the Third Floor and survived long enough to be assigned to Imani's squad on the Eighth Floor. When a totem forces the team to fight each other, Randall attempts to freeze all four of the fighting crawlers with a spell. Imani's totem, an Amhuluk, casts a poison cloud spell that kills Randall and the rest of the team.[4]
