Mind Balance Skill is a skill Carl gets from his Enchanted Toe Ring of the Well-Balanced. It allows protection from Enslavement and Conscription. [1]

Book 7
- Shi Maria attempts to cast several spells while in the tattoo form on Carl's chest. The Mind Balance Skill on the Enchanted Toe Ring of the Well-Balanced prevents the spells and skills from activating. This causes the skill to go from Level 5 to Level 9 in just a few hours. [2]
- Carl is hit with a barrage of psionic debuffs by the Madness while attacking the castle during the Open Hostilities phase of Faction Wars (game). The volume of attacks overwhelms the Enchanted Toe Ring of the Well-Balanced until Mind Balance trains to level 16. [3]
