A Mantaur is a mob found on the Fourth Floor and lower levels. They are often associated with Club Vanquisher.
AI Description
Of Gore-Gore:
Of all the ‘taurs out there, from Centaurs to Bisontaurs to Rhinotaurs, the ManTauR is one of the weirdest. Half human, and, uh, half human, the ManTauR has been genetically engineered for both strength and dexterity, making them perfect for the often-grueling and thankless job of Tangle Train Engineer.
Unfortunately, the act of making these magnificent, large-footed beasts oftentimes results in creatures with double amounts of testosterone and whatever else makes humans so prone to overt masculinity and hyper, overenthusiastic piety toward their god of choice.[2]
Description
A mantaur is like a centaur, but the standard human torso sprouts from a larger human body, right where the neck would be. The smaller upper half supports a human head and a set of arms; the larger lower half has another set of big, muscular arms and legs. Mantaurs run and stand on all four rear limbs. Their voices sound human, but they speak loudly and boisterously.[1]
Mantaurs also believe magic is not honorable or true and consider the use of it blasphemous. [1]

Story
Book 3
The Royal Court of Princess Donut first meets a Mantaur when they derail the Ochre Line train on the Fourth Floor. Gore-Gore the train engineer at first is friendly, thinking they were just witnesses to the derailment, but after a cleric in Club Vanquisher rats them out, Gore-Gore attacks them. [1]
Trivia
Although the System AI's description repeatedly spells the term as "ManTauR," it spelled as "mantaur" in all other dialogue and descriptions.
