Manasa

“MANASA HAD THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL. NOBODY BENEFITS FROM IT."[1]

Manasa is a famous Naga pop singer with a haunting soprano voice.[2][3] Physically large, her black-and-silver cobra head appears to have a meter-wide hood.[2]

Description

Although Manasa died years ago, she contracted with the Valtay Corporation to continue her career after death; now, her most recent single is ranked 8th in the universe and she regularly appears on Danger Zone with Ripper Wonton to argue in favor of the Valtay. As one of the Valtay's "entertainment assets," she brings in a ton of money for the Valtay Corporation each year.[2]

She is also close friends with D'nadia.[2]

Story

Book 2

Carl, Donut, and Hekla are called to participate in Danger Zone during the Third Floor. Manasa, Princess D'nadia, and Tucker are panel guests, weighing in on political topics including the Valtay's recent attempts to collect its debt from the Borant System.[2]

Before filming, Manasa volunteered to trade Production Trailers with Carl and Donut so that they could use the shower facilities. During the live show, after Carl encourages sedition against the Skull Empire, Prince Stalwart's personal yacht fires a pulse at the trailer he believes to hold Carl and Donut; instead, he kills Manasa.[2]

In the immediate aftermath of her death, D'nadia claims that the Prism Kingdom will file a grievance against the Skull Empire in Syndicate Courts, and Ripper Wonton speculates that Stalwart's mistake will both severely impact the Valtay's income and degrade the strong alliance between the Valtay and Skull Empire.[2] Carl privately suspects that Stalwart had planned to kill him and Donut regardless of what he said on camera, and Borant Corporation deliberately switched their trailers to provoke the Valtay.[3]

The Valtay retaliate by destroying Stalwart's yacht. Both Queen Consort Ugloo and Prince Maestro were believed killed in the attack.[3]
