The thing was solid and heavy as shit. [1]
Gangway Chock is a defense Carl crafted on his Engineer's Table as a gangway defense for cars on the Iron Tangle.
Description
The Gangway Chock is a massive sheet of metal fashioned out of a breastplate from the Third Floor. It's a rectangular hunk of metal with rounded edges, thinned out to about a 1/5 inch. It's "solid and heavy as shit". [1]
Carl wedges it into the space between the seats and the gangway doors. It's much larger than the doors, wide enough that no monsters can get around it unless they are tiny. Carl can pull it in and out of his Inventory. [1]
Story
Book 3
After their experience dealing with mobs on the Red Line, Carl decides to craft some subway car defenses to help funnel the mobs when they try to attack. He crafts the Gangway Chock on the Engineer's Table using a breastplate from the Third Floor and the Goo-Inator 3000. He first deploys the Chock on the Yellow Line. [1]
Carl uses the chocks again on the Dismemberment Limited in the fight against Dismember and the Fleshers. [2]
