“I understand now. I understand what this is. You must help us. I know you have your own people to help, but we shouldn’t be enemies in this.”-- Fire Brandy[1]

Fire Brandy is a Lesser Demon MILF and non-combatant NPC on the Fourth Floor.

AI Description

Fire Brandy – Lesser Demon MILF. Level 75.

Fire(wo)man of the Nightmare Express.

This is a non-combatant NPC.

A single mother’s gotta eat!

Where one finds big ovens that need stoking, one will regularly find a Lesser Demon in control. But if it’s a fire that needs to be extra hot, the much-rarer Sheol MILFs are often employed to keep those fires sizzling.

Once a pregnant Lesser Demon falls into labor, her delivery usually lasts about sixty days. During these two months, she has a litter of 15-18,000 babies, delivering one approximately every five minutes, non-stop.

Only one in 10,000 Lesser Demon babies are viable. The rest rarely live more than a few seconds. Their corpses shrivel and harden, becoming a valuable resource called Sheol Bricks. The 15th floor will be lousy with them. If exposed to fire, Sheol Bricks burn long and hot. Lesser Demon MILFs who also learn water magic can find lucrative work as steam boiler fire stokers. Once they seal themselves within the boiler, they create an almost self-sufficient system that keeps most larger boilers humming. Plus it’s a convenient method of disposing of their failed young.

Description

A pregnant Lesser Demon trained in water magic, Fire Brandy believes she signed a contract with the Iron Tangle to work as the Nightmare Express' steam boiler fire stoker. She has two viable babies locked inside the boiler with her.[2]

Her personality is best described as "matter-of-fact, southern-belle-but-also-German."[3]

Appearance

Fire Brandy looks like "a 1950's pinup version of a red devil woman," although only her head is visible in the boiler. She has red skin, and heavy rings under her swirling black eyes make her look perpetually tired. She wears her black hair in a "rockabilly-style updo" tied with a red bandana. Two black horns sprout from her head.[2]

Story

Book 3

On the Fourth Floor, Fire Brandy teaches Carl how to pilot the Nightmare and allows him to take several of her Sheol Bricks.[2] Over the course of the floor, she gradually starts to realize the nature of her existence. After discussing it with Tizquick, a fellow NPC, she and Tizquick decide to help the crawlers survive by driving the Nightmare into the abyss -- a suicide mission. She explains:

“They gave me three [babies] this time. I remembered. After talking with Tizquick. I remembered my babies from before. Last time I was in a boiler, in an engine that controlled the heat for a massive boat. And the time before that, it was for a castle’s heating system. Each time, I thought it was just a job. A way to earn money for my children. And I’d have them. I’d have one sometimes. Sometimes two. This time it was three. But then they were just gone. I had names for them. Each and every one. You’re not supposed to name them until the ceremony, but I had given them names. Each one is different. They’ve never returned to me. But I’m always back. Every time. But not anymore. They won’t use me like this ever again.”[4]
