Explosives Handling is a skill gained and leveled by handling explosive devices such as bombs, Goblin Dynamite, and more.
Description
Leveling up the skill allows crawlers to view more detailed information when inspecting explosives using the Heads-Up Display (HUD), and unlocks more crafting options. At Explosives Handling level 5, the crawler gains:
- The crawler now receive additional information when inspecting explosive devices, such as Type, Status, and more details. See Goblin Smoke Bomb for an example.[1]
- The crawler unlocks a new Crawler Menu called Demolitions Workshop, which can only be used at a Sapper's Table.[2]
Story
Book 1
Carl gains the Explosives Handling Skill, Dangerous Explosives Handling Skill, and Goblin Explosives Skill simultaneously after lobbing goblin dynamite into the Hoarder's boss chamber on the First Floor.[3] It goes up to 5 after blowing up the Goblin Chieftain. [2] His skill increases to 7 after creating and using Carl's Jug O'Boom. [4]
Book 2
One of the AI recommended races for Carl is the Hobgoblin race, which is only availible to crawlers with a level 5 Explosives Handling Skill. [5] Midway through the floor his Explosives Handling skill is level 9. [6]
Book 3
Carl blows up the Vermillion Line train to kill some stage 3 DTs on the Fourth Floor and levels up his Explosives Handling Skill to level 11. [7]
