This is an Artifact of Divine Suffering.

AI Description

Enchanted Night Wyrm’s Ring of Divine Suffering.

Oooh, that’s scary sounding.

For the discerning Crawler Killer, this magical ring can be one of the most formidable items in the dungeon. If utilized properly, this ring’s wielder can grow exponentially in strength, especially on the deeper floors. But beware. If poorly wielded, this ring will kill you quicker than an exploding rage elemental. Either way, this ring imparts one of the dungeon’s most highly sought-after skills.

The wearer of this ring receives the following benefits:

  • The +1 stat benefit increases by one for every three marks you kill.
  • Warning. Once a mark is set, you may no longer heal.

Description

Every season of Dungeon Crawler World, a few rings are generated in the dungeon. Hunters on the Sixth Floor particularly prize them and hunt down any crawler with one. The bonuses for the stat boosts work for both crawlers who kill non-dungeon made individuals, and any non-dungeon made individual (such as the outworlder Hunters) and other crawlers. a combatant can raise their power exponentially. Each year on Faction Wars (game), the winning team is lead by someone who is wearing one. [2]

Story

Book 3

Carl receives a ring from Frank Q at the Desperado Club as a way to curse him. He explains he and Maggie My made their daughter Yvette wear it to level up. Yvette marked Carl in the safe room on the First Floor, but Carl and Donut escaped. Maggie had to kill Yvette when she got injured since she couldn't heal until Carl was dead. [1]

When Mordecai comes back from his suspension from throwing a chair at Chaco, he sees Carl wearing the ring. Carl is only wearing it for the 5% boost to stats, but Mordecai insists he get rid of it right away.
