Emir Akbas

Emir Akbas is an Earth Crawler that Carl meets in the Desperado Club. His class is Ghazi and his race is Zebani though Carl has no idea what either of these are.^[1]

Description

Emir Akbas is estimated to be in his 50s and is travelling with three others all with similar crawler numbers meaning they likely entered together. Carl assumes that one of his companions, Zeynep, who is a middle-eastern human woman in her 50', is his wife.^[1]

Appearance

Emir Akbas, as a Zebani, appears human but with a blue tint to his skin. He is a tall guy with huge arms and a curved sword over his shoulder. He has a very bushy monobrow, is in his 50's, and wears metal boots. When Carl meets him he is very drunk and has been dancing.^[1]

Story

Carl meets Emir Akbas in the Desperado Club during the attempt on Astrid's life. He is dancing with Zeynep and two other female crawlers (a human and an elf in their 20s). They are relaxing before phase 2 of the 8th floor having already collected their squad of T'Ghee totems.^[1]

Carl asks the group to leave for their own safety, but Emir, who is drunk and jelous of Carl, acts like an obstinate dick. Carl fist-bumps Zeynep and walks away as he has no time to deal with Emir.^[1]

As the plan falls apart Carl receives a warning from Zeynep shortly before Emir punches him. Carl was hurt, knocked down and bleeding, proving that Emir has a very powerful punch. During the fight Emir loses one of his metal boots which ends up being left in the club. Zeynep casts her Mute Spell on Emir to prevent him casting spells against Carl. As his team pull him away he yells at Carl "My Burcu is going to kill you"^[1]
