Death Watch Extreme Dungeon Mayhem

“Glurp, glurp!”[1]

This is a talk show hosted by Prince Maestro, produced by Prince Stalwart of the Skull Empire. The show is a talkshow style that caters to a young crowd.

Description

Death Watch Extreme Dungeon Mayhem is a round table style show with three segments with three sets of participants. It is not normally live.

The first segment, with the "stupid, lame guests" is called Death Watch. The guests are pulled away from a certain death situation to participate on the show. They are shown a series of scenes and asked to guess if the crawler survives. If guessed correctly, the guest gets a teleport point to spend on themselves or party members. Each teleport point will teleport the individual to the nearest safe room. [1]

The middle segment focuses on the VIP guests, showing a short clip of their latest exploits in the Dungeon. [2]

The last segment of the show has two surprise guests for the VIPs, followed by a Q&A section by the host. [2]

At the end of the program, the participating crawlers get given gifts. [2]

Production

While the program can spend a lot of money getting top crawlers on the show, it typically works on a shoestring budget most YouTube shows have. [1] This is because the production is done on a small stipend from Prince Maestro and Prince Stalwart's father to keep them busy. [3]

Setting

The setting of Death Watch Extreme Dungeon Mayhem is in a studio with a loud audience. The audience is made up of almost entirely kids and the audience presence is more cruel than Odette's show.[1]

The participants sit around a curved table. The first seat is for Maestro and looks like a large ornate chair made of dark wood, red velvet cushions and arm rests made of pig skulls. [1] The rest of the chairs are for participants. In the show Carl and Donut are on, there are 6 total participants.

The backdrop of the show is an "elephant-like monster with three spike-covered trunks". The elephant is animated to swing its head back and forth with the word "Extreme" hovering over it. [1].

Story

Book 1

During the Second Floor, Zev is put in a time out and Administrator Mukta is her substitute. Zev had originally scheduled a program called Dungeon Crawl Tactics, but Mukta changed to Death Watch Extreme Dungeon Mayhem because it paid a higher fee. [4]

The first segment features Li Jun and Zhang guessing whether the depicted crawlers survived to earn teleport points to save Li Na and their partied manager from certain death. This angers Carl to the point that he threatens to leave the show, but is required to return by Administrator Mukta. Li Jun and Zhang have won two teleport points and are discussing how to use them. Carl gets the show to add him to the Death Watch segment where he offers to use both teleport points to transfer him and Donut to the spot.

This offer is very popular with the audience, but Maestro can't afford to send the expensive crawlers into danger. Carl quickly gives Li Jun and Zhang the advice to run back towards the Troglodytes because they are slow just as Maestro sends them back into the dangerous situation. Taking the advice from Carl, both crawlers are able to get both themselves and their companions to safety. [1]

“Glurp on that, motherfucker,” I said.”[1]

The show then shows a quick clip of the fight with the Rage Elemental to the audience while Maestro threatens Carl and Donut, saying he's going to meet them on the Ninth Floor.[2]

When the clip ends, Maestro has Carl guess who the VIP guests are. Carl guesses (correctly) that the guests are Maggie My and Frank Q. The show cuts to another clip of their progress through the dungeon, including their teenage daughter, Yvette. Their Game Guide is a Mind Horror who recommend they kill as many crawlers as possible to survive. [2]

The scene cuts to the teenage girl injured on the ground, but doesn't show how it happened. The girl cries that she's in pain, and Maggie strangles her until she dies. The scenes then jump around to show Frank and Maggie in a large group and introduce the teenager as their daughter Yvette. This group includes Rebecca W. When the group has their backs turned, Maggie and Frank open fire on the group. Yvette cries and asks them to stop. Maggie goes as far as to put a gun in Yvette's hand and tries to get her to kill a dying man. Frank and Maggie continue to hunt down other crawlers. [2]

The last part of the clip shows the ambush in the safe room on the First Floor, followed by Carl adding the Goblin Dynamite to the rat corpse. Frank, Maggie, and Yvette find the corpse and Frank pulls the lit stick of dynamite out, dropping it immediately. It goes off, injuring Yvette and cutting Frank's right hand off. [2]

Carl and Donut are horrified that Maggie killed her daughter, saying that she could have healed. Maggie lashes out, jumping at Carl with a dagger, but passes through his hologram. Carl attempts to shut down the conversation and leave early, but Maestro drags out the show by asking more questions. Maestro is not good at asking interview questions of hostile guests, and the show drags on for another half an hour. [2]

By the end of the show, Maestro has given up on the episode and turns to the final segment, the gift giving to contestants. Carl gets tactical boots, exactly the kind he would like if he didn't have so many buffs to bare feet. Carl says thanks, but isn't going to wear them. Maggie and Frank get a Legendary potion of Find Crawler Skill, up to level 15. [2]

Later, after the Pork Boy Snick comes out an humiliates Prince Maestro, Odette mentions that the show is going on hiatus while the show restructures. [5]
