Cornets are a Fourth Floor mob that can be found at Banshee Station, station number 116 on the Yellow Line of the Iron Tangle [1]
AI Description
Red Cornet. Level 21.
Well, what did you expect in an opera? A happy ending?
The Cornet is a devolved form of the more common Lepus, one of the most widespread, semi-intelligent species across the known universe. During the early years of the Skull Empire’s expansion, a system warlord developed a taste for a dish called Lepus hasenpfeffer, which caused the Lepus on that planet to be hunted to near extinction. A band of the hunted fled to the extensive, lightless caves of the planet and disappeared for several thousand years.
The devolved Lepus lost its sight, but it developed its rudimentary echolocation skills into an impressive attack. They don’t normally run around without skin. We just added that part because it makes them scary as shit.
Description
Cornets look like tall, skinless, eyeless, human-sized jackrabbits walking on two legs. They are hunched forward with their rabbit ears almost reaching the ceiling. They have a massive mouth with teeth. They make an odd humming noise.[1] [2]
The rabbits have no sense of community and barely fight back when the crawlers go to clear out the station. The station is not an established settlement. There is no purpose or reason for the mobs presence, breaking a norm of the game. Carl comes to the realization that all the mobs are on drugs. [2]

Story
Book 3
- The Royal Court of Princess Donut first sees these monsters as they run off the Yellow Line onto station 116 when they are escaping the Literal Fire Ants on the train. [1]
- Deeper in the station they encounter a Red Cornet who drops an empty potion vial on the floor. The cornet attacks, hitting the party with the Queasy Debuff. [2]
- Mordecai mentions that putting in earplugs won't help, but certain types of bodies (such as Mongo) are immune. Overtime individuals build immunity and it builds pretty quickly. [2]
- Before the team blows up the Dwarven Industrial Light-Duty Automaton Contraption, Katia recommends killing the rest of the Cornets to clear the place out "for science". [2]
