Clockwork Triplicate is a utility spell that creates two clockwork copies of a crawler's pet or minion.[2]
Description
When Clockwork Triplicate is cast, the target appears to split into three. The two duplicates look and behave like the target, but act independently. The System AI does not identify which copy is real.[2]
When the spell ends, the replicas break into gears and servos and electric parts, that disintegrate into a little pile of ash with a puff of smoke a moment later.[2] If something else cancels the spell prematurely, the replicas explode in a shower of parts that can cause minor damage.
Level 5 Upgrade: Duration increases to 2 minutes per spell level.

Book 3
Carl and Donut use the Mysterious Letter to trick the caster into thinking they are jumping onto the roof of the administrative building in the Medium Skyfowl Settlement, but instead send the clockwork triplicates with Hobgoblin Smoke Curtains and blow the building up. [4]

- While the team waits for the Nightmare Express, Donut practices casking her Hole Spell, then Clockwork Triplicate and the triplicates will appear on the other side of the hole. [7]
- Donut casts her Second Chance Spell during the Vermillion Line Rescue on Hekla's corpse, followed by Clockwork Triplicate to create three Hekla minions. [8]
