Class broadly defines and shapes a crawler's skills and tactics inside the Dungeon. Crawlers select a primary class on the Third Floor, and may have the option to specialize their class on the Sixth, Ninth, and Twelfth floors.
On the current season of Dungeon Crawler World, crawlers selected a record-breaking ~40,000 different classes.[2]

3rd Floor Class Selection
When crawlers reach the Third Floor, they return to their original Tutorial Guild Hall, where their Game Guide walks them through the process of selecting a race, then a class, and then distributing their stat points. Once the process is complete, the game guide formally introduces them to the Dungeon's Third Floor.
The System AI prepares a list of 30+ Class options for each crawler based on: stats, race selection, Desperado or Vanquisher membership if applicable, certain gear items (such as the Crown of the Sepsis Whore), and other choices made on the tutorial levels.[3] The System AI further recommends three Class options to each crawler, but these recommendations are based solely on the crawler's skills; the System AI does not weigh how these choices will impact the crawler's ratings.[3][4]
Base classes such as Bard, Magic User, Necromancer, Rogue, Warlock, and Boring Ol' Fighter are available, but there are also more specialized subclasses: Jack-of-all-Trades, Wind Mage, NecroBard, Compensated Anarchist, etc.[3]
Each class includes various perks, which may or may not include: new skills and spells, the ability to train specific skills or spells beyond level 15, experience/mana point buffs or debuffs, immunity to specific effects, stat point bonuses or penalties, club memberships, benefits, etc.
Earth Classes
Earth Classes are specialized classes inspired by Earth culture. Crawlers who select an Earth Class receive a Silver Earth Box containing an Earth Hobby Potion.[5]
6th Floor Class Specialization
After arriving on the Sixth Floor, all remaining crawlers are ushered through a Staging Area and into a small room, where they are given 10 minutes to make a decision. They do not have access to chat features.[6]
If a class chosen on the 3rd Floor specified that it would be specialized on the sixth floor, the crawler must choose between 3+ new subclasses. The crawler's "class" name will change. Some of these subclasses may be further expanded on the ninth and twelfth floors, so it is technically possible for a magic user to specialize in all four elements and create a "four seasons build;" however, this has never been accomplished.[7]
Endorsements
If a crawler has a class that cannot be specialized on the sixth floor, they may have the option to choose one of three "endorsements." Picking an endorsement does not change the crawler's class.[6]
