Book 2 - Carl's Doomsday Scenario

| 1 | The training levels have concluded and the games truly begin. Donut, following Odette's advice, becomes a Cat Former Child Actor Class, with Mordecai as her decidedly unwilling manager. |
| 2 | Carl becomes a Primal Compensated Anarchist Class and enters the Third Floor Over City. |
| 3 | Mordecai explains how the Over City works, goes into the nature of NPCs, the Scolopendra volcano storyline, and Sixth Floor Hunting Grounds. Carl and Donut head for a medium settlement where shopping will be better. |
| 4 | Zev gives a quick update about race/class selection. Carl and Donut get their first Quest: Show Must Go On Quest, fight some lemurs and a clown, and enter a safe room where Mordecai passes out in his own vomit. |
| 5 | Donut receives Clockwork Triplicate, the Scutelliphily Skill, a cat tree and a scented candle. Carl receives the Cesta Punta skill, a stack of Louis L'Amour books, and a $3.99 cactus from Home Depot. Carl regrets making a thoughtless comment about pets. |
| 6 | Carl and Donut investigate a fallen party and Donut takes an anklet from Grace Bautista. They scout out Grimaldi's Traveling Circus as night falls and the mobs prepare for battle. Escaping under magical mortar fire, they meet Tsarina Signet and Carl gets an erection. |
| 7 | Carl pulls out a Mold Lion's heart while Donut raises the dead. With the Lions defeated and Carl alive, Signet's spell fails to cast. In the safe room, Mordacai explains Elites and the recap episode shows Hekla and Lucia Mar getting their classes and races. |
| 8 | Carl gets a message from Brandon about Meadow Lark's progress. Carl and Donut try to escape the area but Signet casts Water Lily, knocking them out. That night, Signet wakes Carl and tells him he has to kill Heather for her sacrifice. Carl leaves Mongo guarding Donut as she sleeps. |
| 9 | Carl fights Heather the Bear. Her parasites burrow into his flesh which he does not enjoy. Carl uses Fireball or Custard? and accidentally heals Heather which rids her of the parasites. Carl puts an old bear out of her misery and Signet summons her Blood and Ink Elementals. Signet and Carl advance on the circus while Zev communicates with the Vengeance of the Daughter showrunners. |
| 10 | Carl shows his Big Top Ticket to Clammy the Clown and enters the tent. The smell of the circus takes him back to a rare memory of childhood happiness and then he is face to face with Ringmaster Grimaldi the Pestiferous Vine. He enacts Mordecai's plan to poison himself and feed his poisoned blood to the parasitic vine. |
| 11 | Carl makes a deal to appear in the Vengeance of the Daughter show on the Sixth Floor. He reads the Wisp Armor Spell book to gain protection from mind control before ordering an ice cream cone of parasitic worms from Apollon the Mighty. Now infected, Carl communicates telepathically with Grimaldi, convincing him to un-banish Signet so that she can move on. |
| 12 | Carl rushes back to Donut. She and Mongo are have been attacked by Street Urchin janitor mobs and her Cockroach Skill has activated. Carl remembers Bea and her mother while waiting for Donut to wake at dawn. They train skills, start their "playbook", and arrive at the medium-sized settlement. |
| 13 | In the saferoom Donut gains the Acute Ears Skill from a Skill Potion and gains a set of fang caps for Mongo. Carl gets a lot of explosives and a Scroll of Upgrade which improves his boxers. Both get the One Quadrillion! Achievement, putting them in line for their first Fan Boxes. |
| 14 | On the re-cap Florin, Miriam, Pony, and Bianca all feature for the first time. GumGum tries to give a Sex Workers Who Fell from the Heavens Quest but Mordecai tells her to f**k off, advising: "You can't save them all". Donut goes shopping and buys a Magical Pet Carrier. They grind Brain Boilers and kill the Dispenser before running into GumGum again. |
| 15 | Carl and Donut enter the Desperado Club for the first time. Mordecai explains the club and buys a Starter Kit from an old friend, the club pharmacist Quint. We learn of Lucia's rampage at the club the previous night. |
| 16 | Mordecai introduces Carl and Donut to Pustule the Hobgoblin merchant in The Silk Road. They purchase Hoblobbers and dynamite, and agree to return for Hobgoblin Smoke Curtains. On the way back to an inn Mongo runs off into an alley where they find GumGum's corpse, three Krasue, and Vincente the City Elf, who Carl kicks in the nuts. |
| 17 | Examining the dead 201st Security Group elf and GumGum, Donut decides to take on the quest. Various clues lead suspicions about Featherfall, the town's Magistrate. Donut and Carl open their Fan Boxes. Donut gets a picture of Bea and Brad while Carl gets a xistera. |
| 18 | The pair meet Miss Quill. Carl leaves some evidence on her desk. She doesn't like having a corpse on her desk but Carl has a note saying its ok so the guards leave him alone. Later they find a boss killed by Daniel Bautista and are ambushed by city elves and Shambling Berserkers. Carl causes several explosions and knocks himself out. Mongo has a good time. |
| 19 | Carl and Donut go on Danger Zone with Ripper Wonton where they meet Evo, Princess D'nadia, Manasa, Butler, Hekla, and Ripper. Hekla asks them to help a member of her party. Carl plants a seed and the Skull Empire retaliate, killing Manasa by mistake. The Valtay retaliate in turn destroying Prince Stalwart's yacht and killing his mother and the Maestro. |
| 20 | Carl and Donut meet Salvatore and the remaining 201st Security Group mages. Eunice, a pregnant Dwarf, attacks Salvatore. The city Guards attack Eunice. Carl attacks the city Guards. Ricky Joe, Eunice's son, attacks Mongo. Mongo eats Ricky Joe's arm, Salvatore gets cut in half like a bagel, and Carl sets everyone on fire. |
| 21 | Katia Grim, who is struggling with her Doppelgänger race, joins the party. On the re-cap Florin is partied with Ifechi and Lucia is out for Donut and Carl's blood. That night they visit the Magistrate's building again and Carl detonates several sticks of Hobgoblin Dynamite hidden in Miss Quill's Shelves. |
| 22 | With Miss Quill dead, Carl is now magistrate. Exploring the building, they find the remains of Featherfall and a nest of Krasue. A max level fireball from Carl's scratchcard finishes off the nest, and a surviving victim, Burgundy, tells them where they can find Miss Quill's undead husband Remex. |
| 23 | Carl picks up a Kimaris figure in a glass case from the wreckage. The pair meet the Tigran Swashbuckler, Daniel Bautista, who thanks them for avenging his family. Katia stands ready to blow the Swordsmen Depot, as Carl and Donut approach Remex, who they believe to both a Lich and Borough Boss. |
| 24 | Remex, neither Lich, nor Boss, is a Soul Leech Capacitor with a story to tell. Quill, his wife, orchestrated his summoning and is using the soul energy he leeches from the town's soul crystal to cast "The Final War". Their quest complete, a new quest begins, "Fools Who Broke the Glass Quest". Rather than run, killing Katia and many others, Carl places the soul gem in the glass case. Carl and Donut have an emotional moment while they wait to die. |
| 25 | Carl gains a Doomsday Scenario as Remex starts to convulse. An initial magic foreshock knocks out magical effects of gear as the party run. The second blast activates weapons causing Ranger, Conrad E to explode. The third destroys The Sepsis Crown and the forth activates crawlers hotlist items. Katia detonates the Swordsmen depot as she, Donut, and an entirely pantsless Carl, exit the 3rd floor. |
| Epilogue | Two and half days later, the party learn that the explosion at the depot stopped the final blast, saving many NPCs and crawlers, and triggering the Bandit Achievement. This resulted in 83 celestial quality boxes being due, forcing Borant to use their season veto, but not before Quan Ch opened his. Carl and Donut make the leaderboard and Odette warns Carl about Grull, Hekla's plans for Donut, and the bounty on their heads. |
