"I can’t do this anymore. I’m done. I’m done. This is too much. This is too much."[1]
Bobby D.J. was a crawler from Earth. His party occupied Bubble #543's Subterranean Quadrant on the Fifth Floor; Carl calls them the "tomb raiders."[2]
Description
Bobby selected the Human race and rogue-type Spy Class on the Third Floor, and earned access to the Desperado Club before arriving on the Fifth Floor.[3]
He is the only member of his party capable of detecting and disarming traps in a quadrant filled with traps; as a result, his team protects his skills by sending other members into tunnels ahead of him, and they die right in front of him. By the time he meets Carl, he is showing clear signs of trauma; his eye twitches, his left hand trembles, and he speaks with a stutter.[3][2]
Appearance
Bobby is a human male in his early twenties; he has dark hair and tanned skin, giving him "a Mediterranean look." He most likely has a Desperado Pass Tattoo on his neck.[3]
Story
Carl meets Morris and Bobby in the Desperado Club after another tomb raider, Low Thi, kills Wynne and causes the Royal Court of Princess Donut to fail the "Free Wynne from His Bondage Quest".[4] The groups begin coordinating and sharing supplies, and, when the necropolis begins to flood, Carl instructs Bobby to retreat into Safe Rooms.[3][2][5]
Mike Barnes and Bobby attempted to venture out of the the safe rooms, but Mike triggered a trap that injected him with "Finger-Sized Flesh Weasels," which ate him from the inside out. Bobby retreated.[6]
After the water wipes out most of the non-ghost mobs in the quadrant (but only triggers half the traps), the remaining tomb raiders begin moving toward the water line about halfway down the necropolis. "Bobby, the trap-finding spy, was on the verge of a literal breakdown and kept stopping to compose himself."[7] Along the way, the tomb raiders trip another trapped and are possessed by ghosts.[8]
After the Where the Red God Glows Quest triggers, Carl instructs the tomb raiders to scratch their hands to escape possession Morris succeeds, but Bobby is crushed and killed a moment later when the bowl crumbles.[8]
