Blood Sultanate

The Blood Sultanate of the Naga is the ruling class of the Nagas in Syndicate space, a former host of Dungeon Crawler World, and a constant participant in the Ninth Floor Faction Wars. They were financially ruined during a crawl 250 years ago, and are still recovering.[1]

Government

Faction Wars

The Blood Sultanate is usually the first team to be eliminated in Faction Wars (game). [2] Shortly after the Crawl was created, the Blood Sultanate purchased a permanent spot in Ninth Floor Faction Wars. This is the only reason they can afford to participate in the game.[1]

History

Over 250 cycles ago, the Blood Sultanate ran the first season of Dungeon Crawler World to lose money. They have not financially recovered and have not run a single crawl since. Part of the extreme expense was that the Blood Sultanate distributed a record-breaking (18) Celestial Loot Boxes over the course of the season, and part was likely due to lawsuits filed against the Blood Sultanate for their "acceleration" of celebrated crawler Drakea.[1][3][4]

Story

Book 1

Donut gets the Enchanted Crown of the Sepsis Whore in her Platinum Quadruped Box. The description includes:

Placing this crown upon your head permanently places you within the royal line of succession for the Blood Sultanate on the ninth floor of the world dungeon. Removing this item will not remove this status. Royal members of the Blood Sultanate will be required to slay the Sultan and all other members of the royal family before descending to the tenth floor. [5]

On Death Watch Extreme Dungeon Mayhem, the Maestro mentions Blood Sultanate is usually the first team to be eliminated in Faction Wars (game). [2]

Book 2

Mordecai asks Carl to shit talk King Rust while on a syndicate show to try to get him to attack the Blood Sultante on the Ninth Floor. With how all the events with Manasa and the Valtay Corporation play out, Mordecai thinks that he stirred them up enough and should stop talking about outside powers for a while. [6]

Book 3

Given that the Iron Tangle is a political statement, the Shock Chomper mob that is described as "lesser naga with mommy issues" is a statement on the the Blood Sultanate and the story of the Sepsis Whore. [7]
