"This is a metallic penis extension that comes with a free probation officer and a traumatic brain injury.” -- Donut[1]

When Carl was a kid, Carl's Father's most prized possession was a red and beige 1965 Harley Davidson FLH Panhead Electra Glide motorcycle. The small dent on the gas tank was from when Carl knocked it over as a kid.

Story

Book 3

On the Fourth Floor, Carl's father's 1965 Harley Davidson motorcycle is an option on Chaco's Prize Carousel. Carl is unable to focus on the other prizes as he remembers how he had slipped on the driveway and accidentally dented the motorcycle's tank, and how his father had lashed him bloody with a belt in retaliation. Carl is tempted to pick the prize just to throw the bike out onto the train tracks. Ultimately, Carl selects a different prize.[2]

Book 6

SPOILERS FOR BOOK 6

Carl and Donut find the same motorcycle during the second phase of the Eighth Floor. The leather seat is cracked and the Georgia plates are years out of date, but the tank is full. Carl adds both the motorcycle and its keys to his inventory, and discovers that his existing skill levels in the Chopper Pilot Skill enable him to easily ride it.[3][4] At some point during the second phase, Katia Grim tunes up the motorcycle's engine.[4]

While Donut is decidedly against the motorcycle, Samantha makes vroom, vroom noises when Carl straps her to the handlebars.[4]
